the way she pitifully claws at the glass really gets to me, because she knows that if he can't break the glass by hitting it, she can't by pawing at it. it's like a sign of hopelessness.
but, i must ask, because she didn't have it before: when she's alone and she appears to be sobbing, what is that spot of green?
though, i think it is a part of the boy because he's got a green colour & and he's no longer on the other side (or at least, we don't see him...).

I think she's holding a pencil when she's "pawing" at the glass. Looks like she's drawing on the wall to me, not pawing at it.
