"Drawing is not always fun and games! Although it's fun most of the time! But it's not so beautiful and majestic as it used to be." -Takumy
"I believe that this piece represents all of us who are Artists. We are forever children in the eyes of society; dreamers of high expectations relying on the accomplishment of our goals and ourselves. We are invincible and young in that regard while our bodies grow old, weary and scarred from life and its pitfalls. While our bodies break down from the responsibilities of reality, our soul and minds remain in the stresses of our childhood, always looking for imagination and adventure. That is what makes us special for we never let go of our child-like selves and dare to dream." -MuEnLi
"As a child, we want nothing more than to grow older and become amazing adults. No one tells us about the trials and tribulations life brings. However, in presenting ourselves to the youthful and innocent, we paint a pretty picture to maintain their innocence." -waywardgal
"The world is much easier in youth but will become a challenge as one gets older...." -animechickfreak
"No matter how much hardships the adult artist goes through, she still keeps on going, because it's what she enjoys." -X12-1992
Life is difficult, but at least artists allow us to go to a different, happier world for a moment so that we will not break down. Wait, is this why I'm so carefree despite the world's crapshoot? OuO Anyway I like it how this artwork, even just in one glance, is so symbolic!
This image really hits hard.... The feelings are so unbearably relatable to Artists and Aspiring Artists... There are so many of us that, through the trials and tribulations of life, will give up our passions. But a select few will choose to continue and endure through those trials and keep the passions, until we finally see the fruits of our labors. Sometimes though, we wonder to ourselves, Will the fruits that we've worked ever so hard for, be sweet enough to mask the bitterness of our labors?
Somtimes I think to myself, If I were to make one, and just one big break in my career, would i sell out my creations for money? Almost all the time I find myself saying Yes. (But, only if its enough so that i dont have to worry so much about the responsibilities of life.)In the shadow of those creations I've whored out to the masses, I'll be working on the things that I want to and that I wholeheartedly believe in, even if they do end up staying in shadow of their more popular bretherin, they will be what i want, and how i want them to be...!
Very, very inspiring. ^u^ This drawing and the comments above really show how important an artist can feel. We not only draw, or create things for the sake of creating... We try to express ourselves in positive ways, no matter how much hardships life is giving us. OuO
