So I saw this again and start thinking, why Disney failed to reach out to Japanese market? They pretty much rely on the classic Mickey Minnie Donald and Goofy team (aka the classics) for their market there. The newer thing that able to penetrate the market was only Lilo and Stitch and they ruined it by making the mediocre Stitch anime series. Mike Inel, you seems to know how to touch the Japanese market without losing the Disney touch too much.
I mean look at Level 5's "Youkai Watch" and how it able to reach its market demographic. They focused on: Cute characters, catchy songs and dances, pokemon like various characters and compelling story. Disney is too afraid that it will lost its "children demographic" in Japan and too afraid to try new water.
