On another note:
Here in Baguio City (Philippines), me and my sis mogumogumogu will be attending the upcoming Anicraze 2:
We will be part of the judges of the "Anime Drawing Contest" activity.
And if the plan turns out right, I might do actual animation there, live.
(I hope it does, so I can also show a preview of Missing Halloween there as well)
Summary of 2013Summary of 2013 for Me:
-I have worked on and helped release two huge trailers for a planned anime series, together with Studio Kontrabida and Alter Ego Productions.
-And with a little team to work on it, it took an entire year to make a handful of minutes worth of footage.
-I have released Lie music video with Circus-P/VocaCircus.
-That was meant to be released a year ago.
-I have released a sneak-peak trailer of Missing Halloween with the help of sasokity
-And didn't make it in Halloween.
-We have left our old 2-storey apartment to live in a new, better apartment.
-But it's as small as a room.
-I have built my desktop computer with i7 3rd gen + Geforce GTX 770 + 32 GB RAM.
-And months later, i7 4th gen was released.
-And it's also slow.
-But not as s
My very very very very very very very very veryvery very very very very very very very very very very first application that's not on PC.
After months of preparing papers, hardwares, and money, i'm finally able to put my very first application on the App Store!
Allow me to introduce: OuO
A free app that makes your iphone/ipod touch a cute smiling face.
Not only that, you can also poke its eyes and cheeks to make cute expressions.
Here's a screenshot:
It's not a masterpiece, but it's a good start for me at least. Not only for me, but for my other friends here who are planning on making apps too.
(To those who might wonder "This ain't Mike, says here it's [BloodCELL]", Bloodcell's gonna be the name we'll be using for Appstore.)
It's not yet available in HD. Why?
Because I don't have an iPad or iPhone4 to test the app.
Your character in Missing Halloween! (RESULTS)MISSING HALLOWEEN
In August 21, "Your character in Missing Halloween!" mini-contest was announce.
In September 1, a total of 313 character designs were submitted. Judging has begun.
As the judge, there were 313 submissions, and only 32 to choose from. Trust me, it was haaaarrd! It still pains me that so many great designs didn't get in. (It's just that many) But I still did my best to judge them carefully.
So here goes, the results!!!
THE TOP 5 CANDY GIVERS
As mentioned, there will be 5 characters who will be featured as candy givers! (And their owners to be in the credits as "Additional Character Design")

This is not okay (about tracing)I just got a report from one observant and kind person about someone tracing of my picture. The picture I am talking about is this one and the traced thing is here and here by spottedeyes120 (gyazo link http://gyazo.com/7bc2339de31ae99a43aa788ab3e3bd7e and http://gyazo.com/22dc9731aaaee0346221d4f1f8e63759 ). As I took a look into this person's gallery (who watches me here, so I'm sure they pretty much know where they took the picture from) and generally much of their stuff is traced as well.
This is kind of funny because few days ago I recieved another report about someone using this picture for this (gyazo link http://gyazo.com/168daa2efddfd7b4e0c88d7118dc7e5e ) and it makes me wonder if Christmas time is the time for people to become dicks or what?
I guess it's a great opportunity to bring once more the topic of tracing, making bases, re-p
After 7 years...I finally have enough to get those
I saw them first in 2006 here on dA and I wanted to get them so bad!
Whenever I had side money to buy stuff, there were other things I needed t get and it's never easy to buy a +$300 worth of tools in one go. Yeah, I could've bought them separately but somehow I didn't do that either, and it's not like it's cheaper that way on the long run.
Thankfully, to god for his blessings, to all of you who bought stuff from me and of course to MangaMagazine.net for their amazing service and constant support for indie creators, I have better income this year than the last. I have a bit of stability and I was able update my tools (digital and traditional) these past 2 months (and one left this month hopefully), without any help from my father, who has always been supportive; financially and emotionally.
I hope they all come as good investments in the end.
So, it all sounds romantic right now, but I had my share of

Why I crossplayIt's the male to female crossplays that usually get stranger looks from the crowd. I understand why and I'm actually fine with it.
I've been asked quite a lot in my years of cosplaying why I like to dress up as a girl at times. I was never able to give a definite answer back then. I suppose it was because I wasn't aware of why I did such a thing.
One reason would be that sometimes, I really just like the character's design. It's a hobby of mine to create things, and being able to materialize something I love makes me happy.
However now I believe I found the core reason of why I do it. Lately I've been delving deeper into doing more complicated costumes such as Capt. Jack Sparrow. In doing those, I realised that it's all about the transformation. Being a costume enthusiast ever since I was little, I've always found a certain joy in being able to turn myself into all sorts of characters. This carried over into my adulthood and I wanted to challenge myself even more.
There's so much prepa

Yesterday someone wrote me a message on tumblr, saying 'congrats on 2nd place!'. confused, I inquired what this was about and then I found out this...-> http://youtu.be/EhQG5gGryyA Notice the titles displayed in the background.
Grimms Manga, to which I contributed the story 'king thrushbeard', won 1st place for Best National Manga, in the Animania Awards 2012.
And not only that, runner up was...Lost and Found. my own. my ...first...this one!
I... this is like double-christmas. I am truly flabbergasted and I don't know what to say, except that this means a lot to me. /_\ I knew Tokyopop did a great job on their part. graphic design, marketing, sales.... But this is a reader-voting system, and me, who is absolutely NOT active in the German Manga community managed to be up there. It's pretty crazy.
So: Ganz ganz lieben Dank an alle meine Deutschen Fans/Leser. das bedeutet mi

The reason why we had to fit three people into one bed is because we assumed from the photos on the website that we were going to have one long couch, BUT NO IT WAS THIS TINY ASS CHAIR RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME.
Irene and I regretted we forgot to take photos of her on the floor of the showe

Merry ChristmasHappy Holidays to everyone!
I wish I got something for everyone, it's a shame I have nothing.
This is the only thing I have so far:
That one's still work in progress, of course.
And I want to say thanks to sir Aura, miss Weee, and to everyone else over at 4LS for inviting me to their Secret Santa. Minisite: http://katawa-shoujo.com/secret/santa12/ Blog post: http://katawashoujo.blogspot.com/2012/12/merry-christmas-from-4ls_24.html
ReflectionsVal's pursuit led him to the foul beast's domain. The hollowed-out cavern reeked of blood and rancid meat. The dim light he had seen as he charged through the tunnel after the monster could now be identified: torches. Rows of mysteriously lit torches lined the walls of the huge cave. At its center was a substantially large labyrinth of mirrors.
He spotted the beast entering.
He spun his silver broadsword in his hand and hurried in behind it.
His garb was a simple blue and white crusader's leather with thick armored pads and reinforcing steel studs. Lightweight and flexible, but quite effective defense against blunt blows and – in a pinch – the slashing claws of the unholy spawn of the earth. All monster-hunters wore a similar variety in Val's experience. It would serve him well in these close quarters of the mirrored maze.
Right, left, forward, left, right he turned, always catching a glimpse of the beast's tail as he wove his way through the corridors. Every so often he sp
